The Great Watermakers GW series are rugged Reverse Osmosis desalination systems with an
advanced control system for reliability and ease of operation. These machines will provide a
dependable
supply
of fresh drinking water for boats, coastal homes and businesses.
Based on industrial grade PLC controls, the system monitors the pressure and flow rates to
protect the pumps and membrane filters. It also monitors the quality of the product water and
automatically diverts the water into the tank. Fresh water flushing insures the best service life
from the reverse osmosis membranes. The GW Series automatically flushes with fresh water
each time it shuts down and periodically if the system is not being used. All the sensors are
first quality industrial components for long and trouble free service.
The system has been designed for easy installation and service. The frame is compact and
membrane array and pre-filters can be mounted remotely to save space. The base frame (with
membranes and filters removed) measures 24”w x 17”d x 14”h. Pump and motor bases are
made of vibration dampening plastic. The pumps are very smooth running with low noise
output.

All the components are high quality and chosen to provide many years of reliable service in the
tough marine environment. The controls are housed inside a waterproof NEMA4 rated housing
for protection. We have used standard fittings and components where ever possible – filter
housings, pre filters, membranes and pressure vessels, connectors, etc. are all industry standard
– not proprietory one-source products.

The control panel is a water-proof (NEMA4 rated)
touch screen designed for simplicity but still
displays all the system information on an easy to
read back lit panel. A full remote control panel can
be mounted up to 50 ft. away. The system can
also be operated with a simple toggle switch from
a remote location or with a tank float switch. |
If a problem occurs the system will
automatically shut down and generate an error
message that will be displayed in English on the
control panel with a suggestion for how to
